Lazarus Tembo has etched his name in history as the first coach to guide the national netball team to an African Championship title. The young coach who has only been in charge since March this year has managed to lead the team to becoming African Champions for the first time in history. Upon his appointment as the National team coach, Lazarus Tembo, who holds the record as the youngest coach in the position, outlined his plans for the team earlier this year. His ongoing work has continued to speak for him. Regarding the final, Tembo characterized it as the best match of the tournament, recognizing the commendable performance from both teams. Emphasizing the pivotal aspect, the coach highlighted the importance of ensuring the players maintained composure and resilience until the final whistle. In conclusion, Tembo shared that the technical bench aimed for the girls to leave the court with a sense of pride, regardless of the outcome, for having fiercely represented the country.
