Patson Daka, Zambian international and striker for Leicester City, scored one goal and assisted another in his first start for the club on Saturday, helping them to a 4-0 victory over Plymouth in the Championship. This comes after only playing a single minute in the first 19 league games for Leicester. Daka opened his account for the Foxes in the 49th minute, scoring their second goal of the game. He then provided an assist for Wilfrid Ndidi's goal just five minutes later in the 54th minute. Daka was substituted in the 63rd minute for Thomas Cannon. Daka's start on Saturday came as a surprise to many, as coach Enzo Maresca had stated during the week that the Zambian was fourth in his pecking order for strikers. However, Daka proved his doubters wrong with his impressive performance, raising questions about whether Maresca will continue to leave him out of the team after such a strong showing. With limited playing time, Daka is expected to leave Leicester City in January, either on loan or permanently, in search of more opportunities to play. His impressive performance on Saturday may have just given him the bargaining chip he needs to secure a move to a club where he can regularly showcase his talent.
