Copper Queen’s Captain, Barbra Banda’s boots have become one of the latest acquisitions to be showcased at the FIFA Museum. Banda, wore the boots when she scored a goal for Zambia against Costa Rica in a 3-1 win during the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, marking the 1000th goal in the history of the Women's World Cup. Amidst the treasures from the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 in Australia and New Zealand, Banda's boots join an elite collection of nearly 400 other artifacts. Some of the items displayed include Spain’s captain Jenni Hermoso's shirt and Lionesses captain Millie Bright's match-worn shorts. The World Cup Gallery at the FIFA Museum in Zurich unveiled some of these extraordinary exhibits to the public on 12 December, 2023. The exhibit is a celebration of women’s football that offers visitors a glimpse of some of the standout objects collected by the FIFA Museum during the recent tournament.
