The Zambia Under - 15 did not show up for their opening match against Namibia at the CAF African Schools Championship COSAFA Qualifiers that have commenced in Zimbabwe today. According to a report by COSAFA, both the boys' and girls' teams, assigned to Group B, were scheduled to face Namibia at 10:00 hours today but did not appear for their match with the team having not arrived in Harare by kick-off. As a consequence, Namibia and South Africa secured 3 points each for both the girls' and boys' teams due to a walkover against Zambia. In Group B, South Africa now leads with 6 points, having triumphed over Angola 7-0 in the boys' competition and securing a remarkable 14-0 victory in the girls' category against Angola. This absence marked Zambia's Under-15 debut at the CAF African Schools Championship COSAFA Qualifiers since the inaugural tournament in Lilongwe, Malawi, last year.
