Six suspected criminals have been arrested in Kitwe on the Copperbelt after they allegedly staged a theft at Leicester City player, Patson Daka's flats, which are under construction. The suspects, among them a caretaker believed to be the mastermind, made off with various items whose value is still being determined. Copperbelt Province commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba confirmed the incident, which occurred last month between 1:30 am and 6:00 am. He stated that the matter was reported by Kamoto Manyanyanyo, a Director for Vanguard Security, after a security guard, Durani Daka, was attacked and tied up by unknown criminals while guarding the flats under construction. Mr. Mweemba further revealed that the suspects stole seven wooden doors, 300 boxes of tiles, a water pump, a microwave, and other items whose total value is yet to be established. "Police have arrested five suspects namely, Munalula Moola (22, garden boy), Gift Ngwenya (25, unemployed), Augustine Livingi (26, unemployed), and Prince Phiri (28, security guard)," he said. He added that the mastermind, Kapalu Victor, a caretaker, has also been apprehended, and investigations are ongoing.
