Amidst a five-game winless streak, Kabwe Warriors FC Numba Mumamba’s team delivered a much-needed victory, breaking the dry spell and reigniting their spirits. Coach Mumamba expressed his satisfaction, stating, "It has been long overdue. This win will boost our morale as we head into the last game of the first round. The boys put in a lot of hard work to secure these three points." Acknowledging the team's tenacity in a demanding match against Nkana at their home turf, the coach emphasized the goal was to secure three points at all costs. With their sights set on the next challenge, Coach Numba outlined their main objective, which is working hard and beating FC MUZA. On the flip side, Nkana Football Club Coach Ian Bakala expressed dissatisfaction with his team's performance against Kabwe Warriors, attributing the loss to missed chances. “Today we didn't play our game, I don't know what the guys were thinking,” he said. Nkana suffered a 1-0 defeat to Kabwe Warriors in their Week 16 MTN Super League fixture, played behind closed doors on Sunday. This setback has seen the club drop to the second-last position on the league table, remaining in the relegation zone.
