Zambian striker Patson Daka scored two goals for Leicester City on Saturday as they secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Rotherham United in a round 23 Championship fixture at King Power Stadium. Daka, making his fourth consecutive start for the Foxes, opened the scoring on the hour mark after a frustrating first half against a Rotherham side that employed a five-man defense. He doubled the lead five minutes later from the penalty spot after being fouled inside the box. Substitute Cesare Casadei rounded up the scoring for City in the 72nd minute, ensuring they remain top of the Championship table. Daka's brace on Saturday means he has now scored four goals in the four games he has started for City since week 20, having only made a single minute appearance in the opening 19 matches of the competition. Saturday also marked the first time this season that Daka played the full match, having been substituted out in his previous three starts and replaced by Thomas Cannon on all three occasions. Leicester's next fixture will be on Tuesday against second-place Ipswich Town, who will be coming into the match on the back of a 4-0 defeat to third-placed Leeds United. It will be interesting to see if Daka will be available for selection, as the fixture falls on Boxing Day, the day he is expected to report for Zambia national team camp in Lusaka ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations finals in January, set for Ivory Coast.
