Eastern Province Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) is gearing up for sporting action as they prepare to send an under-17 football team to compete in a Round Robin National Trials tournament set to unfold in Lusaka. With a squad of 18 players and guidance from two dedicated coaches, the team represents the promising talent emerging from the Eastern Region. The selection criteria emphasize transparency, requiring aspiring players to hold either a National Registration Card or a Birth Certificate. On January 2, 2024, players will assemble at the provincial center in Chipata, gearing up for their journey to Lusaka on January 3rd. The David Kaunda Technical Center will serve as their training ground as they prepare for the Round Robin Games scheduled to commence on January 4th. As the competition unfolds, young talents will aim to leave a lasting impression and secure a spot on the National team. For those not selected, the journey back home will be a testament to their participation in a valuable experience and an opportunity to continue honing their skills.
