Zambian forward Patson Daka and his Leicester City side capped off a successful year with a 2-0 victory over Cardiff City in the EFL Championship on Friday evening. Daka, involved for 83 minutes in his sixth consecutive league start this month, couldn't add to his impressive tally of four goals and two assists. However, it Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and full-back James Justin who found the back of the net for the Foxes to give them all three points on the night. The win extends Leicester's lead at the top of the EFL Championship table to a commanding eight points. Their next encounter is on Monday at home to Huddersfield. National team duty now awaits Daka, with the Zambian squad already in camp in Lusaka ahead of their trip to Saudi Arabia for final preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations finals, scheduled for January and February in Ivory Coast. The Leicester hitman is expected to join the team this coming week, along with four other foreign-based players yet to report for duty.
