Red Star Belgrade and Chipolopolo Boys midfielder Kings Kangwa has pledged full commitment and teamwork from Zambia as they gear up for their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) next January in Ivory Coast. Speaking at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka after a training session, the former Arsenal Tula player expressed the collective determination within the young squad. "We are going to give everything, we are going to work as a team," Kangwa declared. Kangwa, along with a large portion of the current national team set-up, will be experiencing his first taste of continental glory at AFCON. He exudes confidence in Avram Grant's squad, saying, "We are a team with good players and we are ready." This readiness stems from Zambia's impressive qualifying campaign, where a youthful lineup demonstrated their hunger for success after missing three consecutive AFCON tournaments. Now, their sights are set on leaving a lasting mark in Ivory Coast. Kangwa emphasized the importance of continued support, both in good times and bad: "We are young, almost the same age, we need to stick together like the way we have been doing, we need to stick together and help each other, even when we are bad or good." The excitement surrounding the tournament is palpable, with Kangwa concluding, "Everyone is excited to play this type of games. Everyone's target is to play good and my target is to play good, to give everything and help the team." Zambia finds themselves in Group F alongside Morocco, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
