Trident FC have extended their winless streak, suffering a 2-0 defeat against Kansanshi in the MTN Super League's second round opener. The match, dubbed the first quantum derby, saw a thrilling clash with Titus Chivunga's 29th-minute goal giving Kansanshi the lead. Trident, however, showed resilience as they drew level in the 62nd minute, courtesy of a well-executed penalty by Walaza Tembo, who was fouled inside the box by Mathew Mutambo. In a dramatic turn of events, The Conquerors inadvertently handed the advantage back to their opponents in the 89th minute with an own goal by Kanamuli Kapilimba.
