Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club, fresh off their escape from relegation danger with a crucial 1-0 win over Napsa Stars, has announced a wave of player departures and exciting promotions within their ranks. The Solwezi-based side took to social media to update fans, stating: "Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club announces significant changes as the team continues to prepare for the second round of the 2023/24 season, having already played two games." Several experienced players are bidding farewell to the club: Midfielder Marvin Jere, whose contract expired after two seasons with Kansanshi; Striker Ronald "Sata Sate" Kambamba, who arrived from Nkana FC in September 2022 but is now moving on; Defender Kingsley Hakwiya, recruited from Buildcon FC in July 2022, will no longer be part of the team; Winger Daniel Chama, who returned at the beginning of the current season, has mutually parted ways with the club. Additionally, long-serving goalkeeper Scotch Mwanza, midfielder Yanganile Tembo (headed for Mozambique), and Djo Ntambwe and Mubanga Basunga will also be departing. Despite these departures, Kansanshi Dynamos have injected positive energy by promoting two promising youngsters from their development side, Young Kansanshi. Midfielder Chali Mulaisho and goalkeeper Mapalo Chitundu impressed with their exceptional performances in the junior team, particularly in the first half of the season. Furthermore, former player Mutale Mutale, recently retired from active play, has been promoted to join the Young Kansanshi Dynamos administration team. These moves signal a strategic shift for Kansanshi Dynamos as they look to blend experienced talent with exciting young prospects. With the January transfer window open and the league set to resume in February, all eyes will be on the club's next acquisitions as they strive to solidify their position in the green zone.
