Zambian Youth, Sport and Arts Minister Elvis Nkole Nkhuwa Nkandu has challenged the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to prioritize the development of grassroots football for girls, mirroring the attention currently given to boys. Speaking during a handover ceremony of jerseys and training kits to the Sporting Doves women's football team in Mpika District, Muchinga Province, Nkandu emphasized the potential of young female footballers The Minister further urged the corporate sector to step up and support the growth of football at all levels, not just established teams. Nkandu's call was echoed by Muchinga Province Minister Henry Sikazwe, who revealed his efforts to engage local businesses in supporting sports development within the province.
