Mazabuka-based striker, Andrew Phiri, currently dominating as FC Muza's top scorer, has expressed his willingness to explore transfer opportunities during the January window. Phiri, who attracted interest from Zesco United in the August window, emphasized his openness to a move away from Mazabuka, provided the offered conditions align with his current club's expectations. In an exclusive interview with Zed Sport, he stated, "I am always open for a move; it all depends on the club’s conditions and ambition." Despite the previous interest, Phiri remained with FC Muza and has continued his impressive goal-scoring form. He has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season, currently ranking as the second top scorer with nine goals in the Zambian Super League and two in continental football. The Zambia U-23 national team striker affirmed that he remains available should the suitor meet conditions, with just a few days left until the transfer window shuts down. "The transfer window is still open; anything can happen," he remarked. However, he shared that he has endured a tough opening first half to the season, with opposition defenders tightly marking him and not providing any easy games. He also reflected on a disappointing first round for the team, saying, "It has been tough because I am mostly the target and haven’t had an easy game. As a team, we are disappointed to finish the first round in that position because our target is to win the league."
