Following his goal on Sunday in the 1-1 draw against Tanzania at the Senior Africa Cup of Nations, Chipolopolo Boys striker Patson Daka has achieved a unique feat: scoring at every single age group of the competition and winning a Man of the Match award in each tournament he's participated in. The Leicester City man's powerful header helped ten-man Zambia earn a point after playing the entire second half with a numerical disadvantage following a red card to skipper Rodrick Kabwe in the first half. Daka's journey on the continental stage began in 2015 with the U-17s, where he netted two goals. He made his U-20 debut that same year, scoring one goal, before returning in 2017 on home soil to score four goals and lead Zambia to victory. In 2019, he scored once in his U-23 debut, and on Sunday, he completed the set with a goal and the Man of the Match award in his second senior-level game. "This award means so much, not just to me, but to the whole team," Daka said upon receiving the man of the match award "We fought really hard together, and I'm happy for the team's character today. This award isn't just for me; everyone deserves it today." With all teams in Group F still in contention for the next round, Daka will be looking to inspire Zambia to a must-win match against Morocco on Wednesday.
