Former Chipolopolo Captain Christopher Katongo has urged the Copper Bullets to give their best performance and die a little for the country as they prepare to face off against Morocco in their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group F closing match tomorrow at 22:00 hours. In a heartfelt pre-match post on social media, Katongo encouraged the players to play for the badge and the country. “We have one last shot tomorrow. The boys will have to play for the badge, for the country. They will have to go in so hungry for a win. They will have to play like this the last AFCON game before their retirement,” he said. The 2012 AFCON Champion is currently in Ivory Coast with other African Football Legends who were chosen by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to be Ambassadors and represent their countries. He encouraged the team to push themselves to the limit and fight with everything they have as the entire country stands behind them in support. “Morocco is no small team, neither are we, we are Champions of Africa. Let that star on the badge mean something to each of the Copper Bullets. Tomorrow's game should show that we are thirsty to bring the title home,” he emphasized. Katongo concluded by expressing his belief in the team with a reminder that achieving greatness would not be easy, but is possible if they give it their all.
