In a heartwarming display of dedication, Ayr United and Chipolopolo Boys' British-born defender, Frankie Musonda, known affectionately as "Remote Controller" by Zambian supporters, has elevated his love and passion for playing for Zambia to extraordinary heights. The 26-year-old from Bedford, son of an English mother and Zambian father, has chosen to represent Zambia despite being eligible to play for England. In a symbolic gesture of his commitment to his fatherland, Musonda has adorned his back with a tattoo proclaiming, "You have to return home to know what you are fighting for." This poignant message reflects his deep connection to Zambia and the values he holds dear. Not stopping there, Musonda has immortalized some of his best moments in the Zambia national colors by tattooing them on his back. Among these inked memories is his first home game at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka, a testament to his enduring patriotism. A true representation of his love for Zambia, Musonda has gone a step further, having the Zambian map intricately drawn on his back. This vivid display of national pride underscores his unwavering dedication to the country he proudly calls home. Musonda's pivotal role in Zambia's return to the Africa Cup of Nations, after missing out on the previous three occasions, is etched not only in memory but also on his skin. His masterful performance against Ivory Coast on June 17th, where Zambia secured a resounding 3-0 victory, is forever commemorated on his back, with the giant screen of Levy Mwanawasa Stadium displaying the triumphant scoreline. Making his debut for Zambia in a 3-1 win over Congo Brazzaville in March 2022, Musonda marked the occasion by scoring Zambia's third goal. His journey culminated in participating in the Africa Cup of Nations this month in Ivory Coast, further solidifying his commitment to Zambia.
