Zambia's U17 Girls defender, Margret Gondwe, has emphasized the importance of teamwork as the squad gears up for the first leg of the Chile 2024 World Cup qualifier against Tanzania, scheduled for Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka on February 3rd. Speaking from Edwin Imboela Stadium on Friday, Gondwe expressed, "We need to work together and push one another and understand each other on how we are going to play against Tanzania." The seasoned player, who has previously represented the national team in the Cosafa tournament, brings a wealth of experience to the team. Despite not having faced Tanzania before, Gondwe exuded confidence, stating, "I haven't played against Tanzania before, but we are confident that we will beat them." She further shared her commitment to motivating teammates, urging them to put in extra effort during training sessions and attentively follow the guidance of the coaching staff.
