Assistant coach Joseph Musonda of winless Trident Football Club remains confident of the club's survival in the top flight despite a winless run stretching 20 games since their promotion. Musonda, who joined Trident along with head coach Albert Kachinga in October from Prison Leopards, Serving as the team's physical trainer, believes the current break is crucial for new players to adapt to the "Trident way" and help achieve their objective of avoiding relegation. "The break is a plus for us to have enough time for new players to adapt to the way we want in order for us to survive," Musonda declared. Trident have bolstered their squad with five new faces: Clovis Tsinguia from San Granda SC, Angola, Gilbert Tentani loan from Power Dynamos, Izukanji Sichalwe loan from Green Buffaloes, Lewis Mwape from Ndola United, and Scotch Mwanza from Kansanshi Dynamos they also recalled Simon Mulenga from his loan at Konkola Blades. In the same January window, they parted ways with John Mwengani (released), Lassa Kiala (mutual separation), and Lee Ngoma (released). Despite collecting only 10 points from a possible 60 (10 draws, 10 losses), Trident remain confident. Their next challenge will be fellow newly promoted side Mutondo Stars, who are having a decent campaign in the MTN FAZ Super League.
