The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) recently conducted a comprehensive one-day orientation workshop at Alliance Francaise in Lusaka for potential FIFA agents gearing up for the upcoming global FIFA football agent exam on May 22, 2024. This workshop, a crucial step in the FIFA agents licensing process, took place following the opening of applications on January 9, 2024.With participants coming from various districts including Mpika, Liteta, Lusaka, Ndola, Kabwe, Chipata, Mufulira, and Samfya, the event was a resounding success. FAZ Registrar and club Licensing Manager Iva Lengwe skillfully guided the candidates through the workshop's key focus on the objectives of the football transfer system. These objectives primarily revolved around ensuring contractual stability between professional players and clubs. The orientation provided valuable knowledge on the multifaceted role of a FIFA agent and how they act as advocates for football players in overseeing their interests, negotiating contracts and facilitating lucrative endorsement and sponsorship deals to optimize outcomes for their clients.
