Eastern Province Football Association of Zambia has expressed concern over the sidelining of Zambians of Asian descent from the field of football in the Province and the country at large. Eastern Province FAZ Chairperson Chrispin Kamuna said Eastern Province's football history intertwines with the invaluable support of Zambians of Asian origin. "Eastern province football cannot be properly written without the mention of Zambians of Asian origin. If we read about the history of eastern province, we'll be amazed to note that they were in the forefront to support & encourage football in the province," he said. Mr. Kamuna said influential figures like Mr. Ishmael of Chipata Chemistry and Mr. Mosali' contributions were integral to the success of the sports in the country. As a result, the Executive Committee has reached out to embrace their contributions, fostering a collaborative effort to further advance football in the province and country. The Chairperson conveyed the talent and passion for football within the Zambian Asian community. He emphasized the importance of not excluding any segment of society from any sport when scouting for talent as a means of promoting unity through sports.
