ZESCO United Football Club talented midfielder Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba has secured a permanent move to Al-Nasr Benghazi Football Club, the two-time champions of the Libyan Premier League. The club officially confirmed his departure in a statement released on their page. Kampamba, who joined the nine-time Zambian Premier League champions on September 8, 2020, quickly became a pivotal player for ZESCO United, often taking the lead and contributing significantly to the team's success. During his tenure at ZESCO United, Kampamba showcased his skills by scoring a total of 21 goals and finishing as the top scorer with 7 goals in the ongoing Zambian Premier League 2023/2034 season. In his debut season, Kampamba played a crucial role in securing one league title, one Charity Shield and guided the team to the ABSA CUP finals, earning the runners-up position in the 2020/2021 MTN Super League. He also claimed numerous accolades, including Fans Man of The Match Awards and two Atlas Mara Player of The Month Awards. On the international stage, Kampamba achieved success with the Zambia national team by clinching two COSAFA CUP titles and being named COSAFA Player of The Tournament in South Africa in 2022. He also contributed to the 2023 AFCON Qualifiers and was part of the National Team that contested in the ongoing AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast. Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer of ZESCO United FC Charles Kalala expressed admiration for Kampamba's significant impact on the team's success during his three and a half years with the club. "Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba still remains a player that we shall greatly miss as ZESCO United Football Club. He actually had 8 months till the end of his contract with ZESCO but we could not hold on to his career path since time has come for him to play professional football," he said. The club wished Kampamba the best in his professional football journey with Al-Nasr in Libya.
