The Zambia Futsal National Team is set to play Mozambique in the first round first leg qualifier of the 2024 TotalEnergies CAF Futsal Africa Cup of Nations match on February 3 at 18:00 hours in Maputo. Speaking after the team's training at Automotive Futsal Academy, National futsal team coach Andrea Cristoforetti expressed contentment with his team's preparation for the match. He stated that if the team doesn't advance, they would miss out on opportunities to compete in the Africa Cup Tournament and World Cup qualifiers. He highlighted the potential consequences of failing to advance which would mean missing out on the Africa Cup Tournament and World Cup qualifiers. Zambia will be hoping for a win to set the tone for the second leg set for 10 February, 2024 in Lusaka.
