Premier Futsal League
The Zambia National Futsal Team has won the "Trofeo Città di l'Aquila," an international tournament organized by the Italian Sport Association CSI L'Aquila. In the final match, they secured a commanding 3-0 win against the Serie A2 team Futsal Celano, a side boasting three talented Argentinean players and one Brazilian. This win was particularly significant as Zambia was honored by the presence of a delegation from the Zambian Embassy in Rome. It is also Zambia's second international trophy in two international tournaments. Noteworthy among the individual awards was the title of Best Goalkeeper, which was awarded to Jackson Chitungu for his outstanding performance in the tournament. Additionally, James Mwila was recognized as the Best Player.
