Zambia's U17 Women’s National Team, led by coach Carol Kanyemba has unveiled a formidable 23-member squad for the upcoming 2024 U17 FIFA Women’s World Cup Second Round qualifiers. The squad boasts exceptional talent, featuring Elite Ladies' Saliya Mwanza, Green Buffaloes' Namute Bwalya Chileshe, and YASA Queens' dynamic duo, Taonga Mubanga and Harriet Matipa. Margaret Gondwe from Luyando Foundation Girls also adds depth to the team. Zambia will clash against Tanzania on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka with kickoff at 15:00. Following this, the team will embark on the away fixture a week later. The victor over the two legs will advance to face either Uganda or Cameroon in the third round. With the ultimate goal of securing a spot in the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic, three African teams will emerge victorious after the fourth round of qualifiers.
