Zambia's U17 women's national team head coach, Carol Kanyemba, has declared her team's readiness for their crucial first-leg World Cup qualifier against Tanzania this Saturday at Nkoloma Stadium. "The team has prepared well," Kanyemba said in a pre-match interview. "We've been in camp for three weeks, working on all aspects of the game to ensure victory. Our aim is simple: not to concede and score as many goals as possible to gain a home advantage." Acknowledging Tanzania's height advantage, Kanyemba outlined her tactical approach. "We'll avoid aerial balls and focus on playing the ball on the ground with quick movement. We have the talent to play quick football." The current crop of players aspire to emulate the 2014 team that reached the World Cup, with some members now playing for the senior team. Captain Blessings Zulu echoed the coach's confidence, stating, "We're well-prepared. The coaches have done their job, now it's up to us to deliver." Zulu also urged fans to turn up in numbers and support the team.
