Zambian winger Lameck Banda played a crucial role in his US Lecce side's dramatic 3-2 victory over Fiorentina, bringing an end to their five-game winless streak that included three consecutive losses. Lecce staged a sensational comeback after surrendering their early lead to trail 2-1, scoring two goals deep into stoppage time to secure the thrilling win. Lecce burst out of the gates, taking the lead through Rémi Oudin just 17 minutes in, two minutes after having a penalty overturned by VAR. Despite limited possession, they managed more attempts on target than Fiorentina, who had none in the first half. However, the second half saw a complete turnaround as Fiorentina roared back. Rolando Mandragora equalized five minutes after the restart, and Lucas Beltrán put them ahead in the 67th minute. Banda, who had picked up a yellow card a minute earlier, was substituted in the 78th minute with his team trailing. But Lecce refused to give up. Substitute Roberto Piccoli pulled them level in the 90th minute, setting the stage for a dramatic finale. In the 92nd minute, Patrick Dorgu scored the winner, sending the Lecce fans into raptures and ending their winless run in style.
