"Kabwe Warriors Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Zambian International defender Kabaso Chongo on a two-year permanent deal," the club wrote. "Chongo joins the People's Team until December 2025 from Congolese side TP Mazembe." Chongo's arrival comes at a crucial time for Kabwe Warriors, who are currently placed 5th on the Super League table with 32 points from 20 games. Their last game before the league break was a disappointing 3-2 home defeat against Mufulira Wanderers, highlighting the need for defensive reinforcements. The 31-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the Kabwe Warriors backline, having spent ten years with TP Mazembe, where he won numerous trophies, including the CAF Champions League.
