Kabwe Warriors head coach, Numba Mumamba, sees Saturday's home game against Konkola Blades as an opportunity to lift the spirits of the Kabwe faithful following a recent slump in form. "I think this is the time to work hard so that we can give the people of Kabwe something to smile about," Mumamba admitted. "Looking at where we are coming from, I think the team hasn't performed very well in the last four games since we came back from the recess." However, Mumamba is aware of the challenge Konkola Blades presents. The Blades have been on a good run, making Saturday's clash crucial. "Very crucial game indeed," he said. "We are playing Konkola Blades who have been doing very fine in the last 10 games. It will be a very exciting game." The coach is confident that the team's training efforts will translate into goals on the pitch. "Of course in terms of finishing, that is the area we have been working on week in week out," Mumamba revealed. "From what we have seen in training, we looked sharp in front of goal and we hope the players will replicate what was done in training." Kabwe Warriors needs a win to get their season back on track, especially after failing to win in their last four games. "For us what we need to do is to work hard and beat Konkola Blades because we have gone four games without a victor," Mumamba emphasized. "That is why we have to make sure that this game we are playing at home, we fight and collect the three points that we need for us to finish in a respectable position at the end of the season." The coach is also keen to improve the team's home form, having struggled to win at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium this season. "I think we haven't performed very well at home this season," he acknowledged. "This is the time we need to turn around everything and make our home ground a slaughterhouse."
