Football administrators from Copperbelt clubs have undergone a comprehensive training program organized by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ). This initiative is part of FAZ's 10-year strategic plan, aiming to revolutionize football management across the country. "The game is constantly evolving," said FAZ president Andrew Kamanga. "Modern-day administrators need to continuously upskill themselves. This training program aligns with our strategic plan, and we've been conducting similar workshops for administrators over the past few years. An empowered group of administrators will undoubtedly improve the overall quality of management in Zambian football." Kamanga emphasized the importance of this program in light of FAZ's decentralization efforts. "The newly established provincial offices will significantly benefit from this training," he explained. "We're pleased with the progress of our decentralization program and urge provincial leaders to invest in qualified administrators." The training program covers a wide range of topics, including administration, club licensing, marketing and promotions, the laws of the game, competitions management, and refereeing matters. Participants hail from all FAZ leagues within the Copperbelt province. FAZ has a history of conducting such training programs, keeping administrators abreast of global trends in football management. The Copperbelt training session is led by Provincial Chairperson Patrick Ndhlovu and his executive committee, alongside FAZ General Secretary Reuben Kamanga and other members of the FAZ secretariat.
