Clatous Chama played the entire match for his Tanzanian side Simba SC as they secured a 3-1 win over Singida BS FC on Tuesday in a round 20 fixture. Despite not adding to his assist or goal tally this time around, Chama's effort on goal in the 6th minute proved crucial, with the rebound falling kindly for teammate Saidi Ntibazonkiza to open the scoring. Simba quickly doubled their lead just three minutes later, with Ntibazonkiza converting from the penalty spot. The Tanzanian giants, still in the hunt for the league title, further extended their lead in the 34th minute through Freddy Micheal Koubalan. His well-driven low shot took a deflection off a defender, sending the goalkeeper the wrong way before nestling into the bottom corner. However, the second half saw a change in momentum as Singida BS FC came alive. They managed to pull a goal back in the 84th minute through Thomas Ulimwengu, but it wasn't enough to salvage a point. The win moves Simba to within two points of second-placed Azam, with Simba having two games in hand. They remain seven points behind arch-rivals Young Africans, who have played the same number of games as Simba (18). Chama will be looking to make one final appearance for the club on Friday before reporting for national team duty. He'll be participating in the four-nations tournament set to take place in Malawi from March 18th to 26th during the FIFA international break.
