Clatous Chama was once again the hero for Simba SC as his two second-half goals secured a 2-0 victory over Mashujaa FC in a week 21 fixture of the Tanzanian Premier League on Friday. Simba entered the match as favorites, but they struggled to break down a resolute Mashujaa defense in the opening half. However, the Zambian midfield maestro took matters into his own hands in the second half, scoring twice to give his side all three points. Chama's goals came in the 58th and 73rd minutes, propelling Simba to second place in the table above Azam with 45 points. They remain seven points behind leaders and arch-rivals Young Africans, who have played the same number of games (19). The in-form midfielder has been a vital cog in Simba's title challenge this season, consistently delivering impressive performances. His goalscoring exploits will be crucial as Simba continues their battle for supremacy with Young Africans. With club football taking a break until the end of March, Chama will now set his sights on replicating his good form for Zambia in the upcoming four-nation tournament where they will face Zimbabwe in their opening match held in Malawi.
