Zambian midfielder Kelvin Kampamba Mubanga continues to be sidelined from action for his Libyan club Al Nasr SC due to injury. Mubanga missed the team's recent 1-0 home victory against Al Taawon Ajdabiya SC in a round of 14 fixture on Thursday. According to media reports, the 27-year-old requested national team coach Avram Grant to excuse him from Zambia's upcoming participation in a four-nations tournament in Malawi during the FIFA international break. This absence would allow Mubanga to focus on a full recovery from the injury he sustained during his fourth appearance for Al Nasr. The injury, reported to be a calf strain, has kept Mubanga out of action for two consecutive games. However, positive news emerges as sources close to the player indicate his recovery is progressing well, and he could be back in training soon. Mubanga has made a decent start to his Libyan adventure despite the injury setback. In his four appearances before succumbing to the injury, he managed to contribute one assist. This adds to his impressive form showcased earlier this season withZesco United where he was the club's top scorer with seven goals before his transfer to Al Nasr in January.
