In a dramatic turn of events, Chipata United has slipped to 11th position in the National Division One League after the Aguila Stars secured a 1-0 victory over Atletico Lusaka. Aguila Stars now occupies the 10th spot, thanks to their superior goal difference. However, some football fans have raised eyebrows, suggesting that Atletico Lusaka may have intentionally lost the game to Aguila Stars, as they share the same training facility and Atletico Lusaka has already secured promotion to the Super League. Aguila Stars, on the other hand, have moved to a safer position in the league. Meanwhile, Jumulo FC has been relegated to the Provincial Division One League Copperbelt after a 1-1 draw against the Young Prison Leopards. Chipata United is set to face Jumulo FC in their final match of the season on Saturday in Kitwe. In another match, Zesco Malaiti suffered a 2-1 defeat against the Kafue Eagles at Sunset Stadium. Despite taking the lead through a header by Gabriel Miti, Zesco Malaiti conceded two goals, including a penalty, to lose the game. This result puts Zesco Malaiti in a precarious position, relying on Atletico Lusaka's performance to avoid relegation. The relegation battle is intensifying, with Kalumbila Quattro, Chambishi, and Zesco Malaiti all tied at 38 points. Goal difference separates them, and Chambishi and Zesco Malaiti will play their final matches while Kalumbila Quattro has two games remaining. Stay tuned to Zed Sport for the latest updates on the National Division One League and the conclusion to the season.
