Despite limiting Gotham FC's chances in the second half, Bay FC was unable to find the back of the net against a stout defense that has allowed only seven goals in their first 10 games this season. The defending champions' victory was secured with a solid performance, and Bay FC was left to rue their missed opportunities. The match marked the first meeting between Bay FC and NJ/NY Gotham FC, with the two head coaches, Albertin Montoya and Juan Carlos Amorós, having previously faced each other in the final week of the 2022 regular season.
