NCHANGA RANGERS SECURES KEY PLAYERS ON LONG-TERM CONTRACTS Nchanga Rangers Football Club has announced that goalkeeper Victor Chabu and defender Roger Kumiyamba have extended their contracts with the club on a long-term basis. The duo, along with goalkeeper Flobby Mashakalati, have committed their future to the club after agreeing to improved terms. Club President Shapi Shachinda expressed his excitement at securing the long-term future of some of the club's best prospects. "We are a club with serious ambitions. Our project got derailed when we were painfully demoted from the Super Division in the 2022–2023 football season. We got the project back on track and have won back promotion to the Super Division because of the fantastic contributions of these boys," he said. Shachinda emphasized the importance of retaining young and exciting talents, stating that 99% of the players believe in the club's development plan. "They know that the best place for their next level of football is not at other local clubs but at bigger clubs than us in Europe or other African leagues," he added. The club has won 10 trophies in the past and is building a team to win future Super Division championships. Chabu and Kumiyamba's loyalty and commitment to the club have been praised, and the club wishes them well in the upcoming Super Division season. This move is a significant boost for the Nchanga Rangers as they prepare for the 2024–2025 season, and fans will be excited to see their talented players continue to grow and succeed at the club.
