COACH PRECIOUS MPONDELA MAKES HISTORY AS RIVER PLATE CLINCHES NATIONAL LEAGUE PLAY-OFFS SPOT In a remarkable achievement, Head Coach Precious Mpondela has become the second River Plate head coach to guide the Nyati outfits to the national league playoffs, following in the footsteps of Coach Noel Phiri, who led the team to the same feat last season. River Plate's dominance in the Faz Division One Southern Province was evident in their final match against Simoonga Academy, which they won convincingly by 2-0. This victory capped off an impressive season, where they played 37 games, won 27, drew 8, and lost only 2, accumulating an impressive 89 points. Bart's FC put up a valiant effort but ultimately fell short, finishing second with 88 points from 37 games. Despite winning 18 games, drawing 12, and losing 7, they narrowly missed the top spot, demonstrating the competitive nature of the Southern Province division league. Coach Precious Mpondela and his technical bench deserve immense credit for their strategic guidance and leadership, which propelled River Plate to this remarkable achievement. Their ability to motivate and inspire the team has paid off, and they will now represent Southern Province at the playoffs, to be held at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka. Congratulations to Coach Precious Mpondela, the technical bench, and the entire River Plate team on this outstanding achievement! Their journey to the National League Play-Offs proves their hard work, commitment, and passion for football. Follow Zed Sport for all the latest sports news updates.
