NOCS CONCLUDES INAUGURAL ANOCA ZONE VI REGIONAL SAFE & INCLUSIVE SPORT SEMINAR The National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCS) successfully concluded the first-ever ANOCA Zone VI Regional Safe & Inclusive Sport Seminar, a four-day journey that will be remembered for its insightful discussions, firm commitments, and unified agreement to drive progress in safeguarding practices across the Southern African Region. The final day of the seminar was filled with thought-provoking discussions around monitoring and evaluating safeguarding practices, with a firm commitment to appropriate actions from the participating National Olympic Committees (NOCs). The seminar concluded with a unified agreement to take further steps forward, ensuring that the momentum generated during the seminar will translate into tangible progress in the region. The seminar proved to be a fantastic opportunity for learning and sharing best practices among the participating nations, all working together to advance the critical safeguarding agenda across the Southern African Region. The energy and enthusiasm throughout the four days were truly inspiring, with participants expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from each other and work together towards a common goal. NOCS was honored to host nine other NOCs from Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Their valuable contributions and shared experiences made this seminar an enriching and unforgettable event. NOCS President, Mr. Alfred Foloko, expressed his gratitude to the participating NOCs, speakers, and organizers for their dedication and contributions to the seminar's success. "We are proud to have hosted this historic seminar, and we look forward to continued collaboration and progress in advancing the safeguarding agenda across the Southern African Region," he said.
