History was created at the IMMAF African Championship in Namibia. Zambia had amazing performances, winning a total of five medals, making this a historic moment for Zambian Mixed Martial Arts.Gilbert Ndlovu won his bout via a judge's decision after dominating the striking exchanges over three rounds! Gilbert, who represents Kyokushin Karate and Africa Top Team Zambia, has excelled and made us all extremely pleased. Miracle Chipito won silver in the Senior Women's Flyweight division, following another contentious decision against Team Zambia. Esperança Pereira secured Team Angola's first senior title of 2024, but the crowd was convinced Miracle had done enough to raise her hand. Nonetheless, it is a proud time for Zambia because Miracle emerged as one of the top fighters in her division and won the silver medal. Raymond Phillips, the IMMAF Africa Director and Head of Africa, honored her with the silver medal. Despite the team's setback from Killian Lungu's injury, which forced him to forfeit his battle, he won the bronze medal.
