"As ZPL, we are happy to announce the board-approved 2024/2025 MTN Super League and Women's Super-Division schedules. "The two leagues will run concurrently beginning August 17," stated Joseph Chimpampwe. "As ZPL, we are happy to announce the addition of two new cup tournaments. The Champion of Champions trophy and the ZPL Challenge Cup. I can also say that the ZPL Challenge Cup will be the most lucrative cup we'll have. The ZPL Challenge Cup is open to all teams from the MTN Super League, National Division One, Women's Super Division, and National Division 1. "We will do everything as ZPL to meet our members' expectations." Champions Cup will be reinstated. The winners of various cups will compete at the end of the season. Women's teams will also compete in this cup. This decision by the ZPL aims to bring in a new era and improve the landscape of Zambian football.
