Zambia’s only hockey player export Carol Nakombe has returned home after a season of hockey in Italy at Polisportiva Galatea ASD. Nakombe is the first Zambian hockey player to play international professional hockey after she clinched a six month loan spell at the Italian club in January this year. During her stint at the Polisportiva, she put up an impressive performance by playing 4 games and scoring 12 goals in her first international season. Nakombe’s family and The Lusaka Tigers, her parent local club, were at the airport yesterday to welcome the striker after her triumphant arrival.
