The Copper Princesses dominated the game, with Namute Chileshe (jersey number 10) scoring the opening goal in the 13th minute and completing her double 11 minutes later, making it 2-0. Morocco's Azraf Kautar pulled one back in the 37th minute, but the Copper Princesses maintained their lead. In the second half, Zambia made substitutions, replacing Ruth Muwowo and Precious Mwape with Ruth Mukoma and Mary Mukoma, respectively. Morocco also made changes, replacing Haiba Yousoufi with Ouaffa Bentahri and El Idrissi with Melek Hader. However, Namute Chileshe scored her hat-trick in the 82nd minute, securing a 3-1 victory for Zambia.
