After arriving safely in Zambia, FIFA President Gianni Infantino was hailed by the Zambian Football Association. He took the time to sit down and address the media at a press conference. President Gianni took the time to praise the progress of the copper princesses, who are playing excellent football. The FIFA president was thrilled to be visiting the country for the first time, accompanied by his delegation and the FIFA general secretary. The President praised the fans and the entire nation for their enduring love and support for the great game of football. The president took some time to interact with the media. "What is the plan for FIFA to improve women's football to ensure women get equal opportunity?" asked Malama, a Diamond Media journalist. The President said, "Football is a top priority; women's football has become a top priority as well. There is still a huge difference between men's and women's football, and that needs to be addressed." We will insist that half of the facilities that will be built will be dedicated to the women's game, Infantino added. The President also talked about how the FIFA Women's World Cup has revolutionized the women's division, stating the positive impacts it made in the football world and identifying it as one of the turning points in the women's division. When asked about the previous cancelled FAZ AGM meeting, Infantino said he was aware of the issue and that such issues do happen in other countries as well. "Football does face legal issues and challenges as well, and we have to make sure things are done the right way. We have to deal with the authorities, and it is also important to respect the statues and principals of FIFA. At the end of the day, what is important for me as FIFA president is to have meetings and organize football, not organize meetings." We do once again welcome the FIFA President to the land of work and joy. On a related note, are Andrew Kamanga and his board in soup? Follow Zed Sport for more sports news and updates.
