The U-17 women's football team has done it again, graduating to the elite level and creating their own history. After a scoreless tie in Morocco, the Copper Princesses eliminated Morocco with a 3-1 aggregate score, which they carried over from their home victory. Understand that this is the U-17 team's first appearance on the greatest football stage since the 2014 Costa Rica U-17 World Cup. The women's football world continues to shine and thrive in Zambia, with the U-17 squad fulfilling their promise of qualifying for the World Cup. Carol Kanyemba, the princesses' coach, becomes the first female coach to qualify for the World Cup at any level in the country's history. The undisputed Green Buffaloes women's coach proved she was qualified for the position and delivered. Carol complimented the copper queens for making history around a month ago, just after the Senior women's team qualified for the Olympics, and she stated that she and her team dared to dream while simultaneously etching their names in the history books. Congratulations to the Copper Princesses. Follow Zed Sport, Zambia's source for all sports news, blogs, and updates.
