Zambia's premier basketball competition, the Midland basketball association league comes to us yet again promising more drama and action. The Munali Suns, who had to do a lot more to recover from a deficit to win 74-73 against the Green Buffaloes, will meet the challenging Red Arrows on Sunday at 16:00 at NASDEC. Arrows have, however, been blowing both hot and cold. They performed well in the first two games and finished third. They lost 77-60 to the Lusaka Basket Kings and now face the daunting task of defeating the MBA's reigning champions. The team of the week, the Bulldogs, and a squad that has little respect for the national champions arrive on the court this week full of confidence. They would undoubtedly want to show everyone that they have arrived and are anxious to prove that Lady Weekend One was not a fluke by winning the next several games. On Saturday night, they face some tricky customers at Lusaka Basket Kings. This is the primary game scheduled for 18:00 at NASDEC. The Dolphins, who lead the log standings after three games but fell to national champions LBQ, face Phoenix on Sunday at 10:00. The latter lost 50-58 to NAPSA Breeze. The Dolphins have an opportunity to get back in contention. Green Buffaloes men, still bruised from last week's setback to the Suns, will face the Matero Warriors on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. at NASDEC. Games are spread between NASDEC and ZAMSURE as usual. Follow zedsport for more spors news and updates.
