Patrick Gondwe's goal and Royd Katuta's brace were enough to defeat the team coached by Frank Tembo. Mabvuto Chingende, provincial FAZ Youth representative, praised the young stars for their excellent performance. He urged the team to continue maintaining high levels of discipline. "On behalf of the Eastern Province FAZ EXCO, we thank you for your excellent performance in today's game. We made some blunders, which are part of the game, but this is a learning opportunity, especially because many of you are still young. Keep listening to the coaches because we all want to see you make a difference at the provincial, national, and family levels." Chingende said. Chingende also praised the technical staff for constructing a competitive, young side that has played well. Josphat Nkhoma, Nkana FC's assistant coach, stated that they plan to sign at least two more players from the Provincial U24 select team. "We could feel their spirit from the moment they came at the stadium, indicating that they were eager to play Nkana and earn a spot on the team. And, based on how they've played, as a technical bench, we'll sit down and conduct a thorough evaluation of each player's performance to choose which guys we'll select. Otherwise, it was a respectable effort from them, keeping in mind that Nkana is a large club, and these men only prepared for one day, so their performance was adequate." Nkhoma said. Eastern province select side U24 head coach Frank Tembo said the team played well. “As a technical bench we can't complain because they played according to instructions though the errors costed us. NKANA is a big team & we can attest that we've learnt something from them. We are grateful that they really gave us a good game.” Tembo said Follow Zed sport for more sports news and updates.
