Napsa Stars recorded their first win of the season with a 3-0 thrashing of Zanaco FC in the MTN FAZ Super League week 5, played at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka. Napsa Stars had gone four games without a win, but they put in an impressive performance to beat the previously unbeaten Zanaco. Napsa Stars head coach Perry Mutapa said that he knew the win was coming after his side's performances in their previous two games. "It was coming, it was coming. We were never under pressure. We accounted ourselves well in the previous two games that we drew, and in today's game, we won it before the warm-up when I saw Zanaco wanted to come out and went back. I knew they hadn't prepared for the warm-ups," Mutapa said. Mutapa said that his boys had failed to make use of chances in previous games, but they managed to score goals from the chances they created today. He also felt that they could have won with more than three goals. Napsa Stars got their goals from Chaniza Zulu, who scored just two minutes into the game, Zikuru Adams, who scored just after the restart of the second half, and Bosta Siyoma, who scored in the 85th minute. This is a good result for Napsa Stars, and it will give them confidence going forward. They will be hoping to build on this win and continue to climb up the table.
