Chipolopolo Boys played Uganda at the Al Hamriya Sports Stadium in the United Arab Emirates in an international friendly match, which saw the Chipolopolo Boys conclude their camp in Dubai. One of the standout moments of the match involved the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations hero, Stophila Sunzu. Sunzu was initially doubtful for the game due to eye pain and a headache, but luckily he managed to recover in time, hence earning himself a spot in the starting 11. Chipolopolo captain Roderick Kabwe was substituted in the second half for Prison Leopard defender Zephaniah Phiri. The substitution saw 2012 Afcon hero Sunzu collect the armband. At 33 years old, Stophila Sunzu stands as one of the longest-serving players in the current Chipolopolo squad, alongside notable teammates like Evans Kangwa, Rodrick Kabwe, and Lubambo Musonda. The 3-0 victory over Uganda came after a previous defeat against Egypt. The Zambian national team concluded their pre-World Cup preparations.
