Zanaco FC head coach Wedson Nyirenda has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until July 2025. Nyirenda took over as the interim coach in April 2023 following the departure of Kelvin Kaindu and consultant Emmanuel Amuneke. He was tasked with keeping the Bankers in the MTN/FAZ Super League, and he successfully achieved that goal. The club's management was impressed with Nyirenda's work, and they have decided to give him a two-year contract extension. He will now be responsible for leading Zanaco FC back to the top of Zambian football. The Bankers start their league campaign away to FC Muza on August 19th. Nyirenda will be hoping to get off to a good start, and he will be looking to build on the momentum that he created last season.
