Zambia's star player, Barbra Banda, has been announced as the leading figure in the Copper Queens' 23-member squad for the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. FIFA, the global governing body for football, officially confirmed the squad lists for all participating nations, including Banda and her teammates. With just nine days remaining until the start of the ninth FIFA Women's World Cup™, the complete squads for all 32 teams have been revealed. A total of 736 talented female footballers from around the world will gather in the southern hemisphere, each with the dream of lifting the iconic trophy at Stadium Australia in Sydney/Wangal on Sunday, August 20. The highly anticipated tournament will kick off on Thursday, July 20, with New Zealand taking on 1995 winners Norway at Eden Park in Auckland/Tāmaki Makaurau.
